Doubt on nmos and pmos

Sir, why is it that nmos passes a weak logic 1 and strong logic 0? Similarly, why does a pmos transistor pass a strong logic 1 and a weak logic 0? I tried to find the answer on various sites, but couldn't fully understand it.
